We don’t collect or store your personal information in any of these cookies (e.g. your name or address) so this information can’t be used to identify who you are. We use Google Analytics software to help make sure the site is useful to you and to help us make improvements. Google Analytics stores information about:

  • how you got to this site
  • what you click on while you’re visiting the site

Returns

We have spent considerable time sourcing some of the finest gentleman’s antiques from up and down the country in order to bring you something you can be proud to wear. If, for whatever reason you are not happy with your purchase, return it within 14 days and we will issue you with a full, no-quibble refund. Items must be returned safely packaged by a Royal Mail signed for service in the same condition as they were received in, at your own cost. You must notify us by email at hello@gentlemanjacques.com before returning any item. Our returns address is; Gentleman Jacques, 12 The Pheasantry, Scarborough, North Yorkshire, YO12 4UH, UK.

Accuracy of descriptions

We make every effort to source items that can accurately be dated and placed, by their hallmarks. However, over time hallmarks can become indistinct as they wear. This can make certain identification of year of manufacture and maker difficult. We will always state where we are not 100% sure of these details. Please remember that we do not sell new or modern items. You should expect some signs of wear on all the items we sell - after-all most are well over 100 years old. Silver is a beautiful soft precious metal, so signs of wear might include hallmarks being rubbed, surface scratching, small dents, dings and deformities. In addition to this, jewellery is delicate by nature, so some of the items we sell may have had repairs at some time in their life. We will always state in the description where we think this has happened. All details provided by us for the items for sale on our website are provided by us in good faith and to the best of our knowledge. However, we cannot guarantee that our descriptions are error free. We also cannot guarantee that the reference material we use to identify hallmarks does not contain errors. To mitigate this, in the event of you not being happy with any item you purchase from us, we will offer a full no-quibble money-back guarantee.

Warranty

In the event of you not being happy with any item you purchase from us, we will offer a full no-quibble money-back guarantee (see Returns section for more details). As many of the items for sale on this website are over 100 years old, we do not offer any ongoing warranty. We do offer a repair service if your item suffers damage at some stage, but this service is chargeable. For more details of this service, email us at hello@gentlemanjacques.com
