Single Albert chain with 3 stone swivel fob 1900 Birmingham

SOLD - to a gentleman!

This is a beautiful single silver watch chain complete with T-bar, spring clip and silver 3 stone swivel fob. The silver chain is of graduating curb link construction. The T-bar carries the maker's mark “W*T” (mark is rubbed) for William Thorneywork of Birmingham along with the lion passant for sterling silver and a date mark of “a” for 1900. The silver clip has some rubbed, indistinct marks but closes tightly. The 3 stone swivel fob contains inset oval panels of green, black and mother-of-pearl. It connects to the watch chain by means of a short length of hallmarked chain and a small white metal clip. The fob is stamped as “925” and is most likely a later addition to the chain. This item is a lovely example of an antique watch chain, with the added interest of the later swivel fob. This is one that sets you apart from all other gentlemen.
