Silver Pocket Watch 1871 Chester

SOLD - to a gentleman!

This is a lovely silver pocket watch from 1871, making it 146 years old! The silver case has marks for Chester and was made by the company of James Jackson & Son . This has not been tested and therefore is sold as NOT working, and for ornamentation only. It is key wound and in overall good condition. The enamel face is good with only a couple of hairline cracks (see photos). The glass is well worn with a couple of deep scratches. The back has some engine-turned decoration with a blank cartouche, and the hinges, front and back are good. There is a small ding in one side of the case. Although sold as not working, this is a beautiful, heavy accessory for your watch chain.
