Silver Double Albert chain 1917 Birmingham
SOLD - to a gentleman!
This is a lovely double silver watch chain complete with matching spring clips dating back 100 years to 1917. Manufactured during World War I, it makes you wonder where it's been and what stories it could tell. The chain is of graduating curb link construction and is lightweight so would suit those who prefer a finer chain. This chain has the passant lion hallmark on each link, although some of these are rubbed. The T-bar is a later replacement and does not bear any hallmarks or stamps so may not be silver. The clips are matching and bear the makers mark for Herbert Bushell & Sons of Birmingham. This item is a lovely example of a double silver watch chain that will add the finishing touch to your waistcoat.
