Silver Albert chain with fob 1913 Birmingham
£249.00
A lovely single curb link silver chain joining a large T bar and spring lobster clip. The hallmarks on clip and T bar are matching and the chain is stamped with the passant lion on every link. A drop curb link silver chain joins the fob to the T bar. There are signs of wear on this item as the hallmarks are rubbed in places, but overall it's in excellent condition for a piece of silver jewellery that's now 104 years old. The clip is in excellent shape and secure. The chain was manufactured by Herbert Bushell of Birmingham, but the fob is earlier and made by William James Dingley in 1897. The fob has an empty shield shaped cartouche on the front and a circular one on the rear. The finishing touch to a smart waistcoat
