Silver Albert chain with fob medal 1920 Birmingham
SOLD - to a gentleman!
This is a lovely single sterling silver watch chain from 1920 making it nearly 100 years old. It comes complete with a later fob medal made by the famous Thomas Fattorini in 1935. The medal features a gold plated shield containing a winners cup. The chain is of graduating curb link construction and is hallmarked on each link with the passant lion for sterling silver and there is also a makers mark “W.W.C” on the center link, matching the T-bar. The T-bar hallmarks include the date mark for 1920, makers mark “W.W.C” and the passant lion for sterling. The clip is probably a later replacement as it’s not hallmarked, although white metal. This item is a lovely example of a silver watch chain with fob medal that is proving very popular with gentlemen today.
