Silver Albert chain and coin 1902 London
£219.00
This is a lovely single silver watch chain complete with a 1918 silver sixpence as a fob on a short tail. The chain is of curb link construction with each link hallmarked with the passant lion for sterling. The chain terminates with a spring lobster clip for attaching a pocket watch, fob, or other accessory. There are signs of wear on this item as the hallmarks are rubbed in places, but overall it's in great condition for a piece of silver jewellery that's now 115 years old. The chain was manufactured in London but we've been unable to identify the hallmark “J.M”. The spring clip is likely a later replacement as the makers mark for that is “S.S”. A perfect finishing touch to a smart waistcoat.
