Silver Albert chain and coin 1894 Birmingham
SOLD - to a gentleman!
This is a lovely single silver watch chain complete with an 1887 Jubilee Head silver sixpence as a fob.The chain is a graduating curb link construction with each link hallmarked with the passant lion for sterling. The chain terminates with a spring lobster clip for attaching a pocket watch, fob, or other accessory. There are signs of wear on this item as the hallmarks are rubbed in places, but overall it's in great condition for a piece of silver jewellery that's now 124 years old. The chain was manufactured by Henry Pope of Birmingham, but the coin is earlier, minted in 1887. A perfect finishing touch to a smart waistcoat.
