Silver Albert chain 1915 Chester
SOLD - to a gentleman!
This is a super-heavyweight single silver graduated curb-link silver chain with a fob tail, now 102 years old. The hallmarks show signs of wear and the city mark is only visible on a chain link, but the makers mark is strong and clear and identifies the chain as made by Ralph Edgar Cole trading as F W Cole in Chester. The clip and T-bar have matching date and makers marks with each link in the chain stamped with the passant lion, as well as the Chester hallmark, Date mark and Makers mark. The chain has a wonderful patina that I love, but some may prefer to clean this item a little before wearing it. This is a fabulous item and the heaviest chain we have ever come across. Match it up with one of our silver fobs and you've a combination that few will ever match.
