Silver Albert chain 1897 Birmingham
SOLD - to a gentleman!
This is a lovely heavy single silver watch chain complete with a short tail for attaching a fob or medal, and a spring clip. The chain is of graduating curb link construction and is a little longer than average. This chain has been much loved and worn, so many of the passant lion hallmarks are rubbed. The T-bar carries the maker's mark for Herbert Bushell & son of Birmingham along with the Sterling mark and date mark for 1897. The clip has a makers mark that is rubbed but which is consistent with the “H.B” hallmark of the T-bar. The short tail enables you to match up this chain with a fob or coin from our fabulous selection, but the tail looks like a later addition. This item is a lovely example of a heavy silver watch chain that will look great against your waistcoat or jacket.
